Ingredients

  • Basil leaves: ¼ cup
  • Onions finely chopped: ½ cup
  • Carrot finely chopped: ¼ cup
  • French beans finely chopped: ¼ cup
  • Pasta whole wheat: ¼ cup
  • Vegetable stock: 4 cups
  • Cabbage grated: ¼ cup
  • Salt and Pepper: to taste

Method

  1. Blend the basil leaves in a little water and keep it aside.
  2. Saute the onions on a medium flame till the onions turn translucent.
  3. Since we are not using oil use a non-stick pan or spray the pan with cooking oil.
  4. You may sprinkle a little water if it starts sticking to the pan.
  5. Steam the other vegetables in a steamer.
  6. Add the steamed vegetables to the onions and saute for a minute.
  7. Cook the pasta in the vegetable stock till done.
  8. Add the vegetable mixture to the pasta add more stock if required.
  9. Add the basil paste, salt and pepper to taste. Boil for 2 minutes.
  10. Serve hot.
  11. Garnish with Parsley.
